The final

Even though I knew I had to do it.

I was super nervous.

The start was 2 minutes away.

The boat was drifting in front of the start line.

Suddenly someone said

ON YOUR MARKS GET SET…

GO!!!!

My heart was beating so much,

I thought it was coming out of my body.

After a while my hands were trembling.

I thought just think about the race I thought.

Legs stinging, arms burning.

Keep going, keep going.

Almost there.

There it was flags to the right.

People to the left.

The finish line,

I had won it was all done.
